Renews every month until you cancel. You pay US$4.99 each month, plus tax where it applies. Cancel any time in Settings > This app > License > Manage my account, or through the link in your receipt. FoxQuill keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
Either way, you start with the free trial: 14 days of every feature, with no card and no account. If you buy and change your mind, Polar refunds you within 14 days, no questions asked. And your books export to Word, EPUB, PDF, Markdown, or plain text at any time, even after a license ends.

Checked October 2026 from each app’s own site. If something has changed, email me and I will fix it. FoxQuill is a writing app first. Its AI tools are off until you turn them on, and they draft or rewrite text only when you ask. It has no phone app.
Common questions
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes, for 14 days, with every feature and no card needed. When it ends, your books still open to read and export. Nothing is deleted, and you can write again the moment you activate.
- What does lifetime mean?
- It covers FoxQuill 1 and every 1.x update, for as long as you use it. FoxQuill 2, if it ever comes, is a separate purchase or the monthly plan.
- Does it keep working if FoxQuill stops being made?
- Yes. An activated lifetime license never checks in with a server, so the copy on your computer keeps working.
- Can I move it to a new computer?
- Yes. A key works on three computers. To move to a new one, free a slot in Settings.
- Is my writing sent anywhere?
- No. It stays in a folder on your computer, unless you share a chapter or turn on AI. AI is off until you turn it on, and then only what you choose goes to the AI server you set.
